San Andreas Sheriff's Department
« on: November 25, 2016, 01:06:20 pm »

The San Andreas Sheriff's Department was created in order to serve the local residents from all over the state of San Andreas and provide them of safety and peace. After the closure of the former narcotic agency, working under the Department of Justice, the former director decided not to give up on people's safety. The former director, current serving Sheriff Stanley Burnett, took over the San Andreas Sheriff's Department from former Sheriff Gary Johnson and his staff. It was Burnett's intention to re-organize the faction with a new team of serving staff. All former staff were fired and had to apply again.

The faction is under control of the serving Sheriff Stanley Burnett, his Undersheriff Bryan Camaro and Assistant Sheriffs Andrew Foy and George Millers. Apart from the former faction, every deputy has his own duty. These duties differ from administrative duties to field duties, for example the tactical duty.

The Sheriff's Department is mainly patrolling in the counties of the state of San Andreas, such as Red County and Bone County. That does not mean the deputies are not allowed to patrol in the cities of Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas. Our deputies are allowed to patrol anywhere they want as long as the level of hazard is not too high. If this level of hazard is too high, SEB units are called to assist the regular units while patrolling to prevent injuries.

The faction is divided in different bureaus, divisions and counties. The first bureau, the Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB), is operating under supervision of one of the Assistant Sheriffs. SEB is specialized in tactical movements, which means they use other equipment than regular units. The Administrative Services Bureau (ASB) is divided in three divisions: Internal Affairs Division (IAD), Recruitment and Employment Division (RED) and Public Affairs Division (PAD). Each unit has its own duty and task to take care of. The Countywide Services Bureau (CSB) is operating under supervision of one of the Assistant Sheriffs. This bureau is divided in to four counties: Bone County (BC), Tierra Robada County (TR), Red County (RC) and Whetstone County & Flint County (WS/FC). Each county has its own supervisor, the supervisor represents his/her county.

Is your job boring? Are you looking for a career? Join the Sheriff's Department and change people's lifes!

BACK TO INTRODUCTION
? RANKING HIERARCHY ?

This hierarchy is used since the beginning of the department in the early 70s, it is still being used for the faction under control of Sheriff Stanley Burnett. He changed many things, but refused to change the hierarchy or its ranks.

Executive staff is practically the highest faction, under control of the Sheriff. Below ES, the Command staff is the backbone of the department. It is their task to assist the ES and administrational divisions in their daily duties. The Supervisory staff can be seen as the probationary CS. They have to assist the CS and ES by joining divisions and helping them by running the department. Last but not least, the Field staff. FS can be seen as the lowest faction of the department, they have to prove to the CS/ES before getting promoted to the next rank or faction.

? Executive staff (automatically part of RED)
? Sheriff — The head and highest person in-charge of the faction. The Sheriff is allowed to make decisions on his own, although he would not do this regulary as one of the department's goals is to prevent corruption and add a democratic system when needed.

? Undersheriff — Right hand to the serving Sheriff. The Undersheriff takes over the Sheriff's duties during his absence. The Assistant Sheriff assists the Sheriff and his team in the administrative work.

? Assistant Sheriff — The Assistant Sheriffs of the faction are responsible for a bureau. They have to supervise and represent the specific bureau. They also have to assist the Undersheriff and Sheriff in the daily administration of the department.

? Command staff
? Captain — Captains are responsible for the lower ranked deputies of the factions, they also represent them. Captains can also choose to be an Area Commander or a Division Commander. They are seen as the example of lower ranked deputies, they should show good behavior and contributions to the department.

? Lieutenant — The task of every Lieutenant is to take care of the administrative work. They can be in-charge of an area or division as well. The Lieutenants are under command of the Captains, who instruct them in their daily duty. Lieutenants should report every issue to the executive staff, no matter what the situation is.

? Supervisory staff
? Staff Sergeant — Staff Sergeants take care of the Sergeants most of their time. It is the Staff Sergeant's task to train the Sergeants to become Staff Sergeants at the end. Staff Sergeants could be in-charge of a division, if so, their duty is to manage and supervise this division.

? Sergeant — Sergeant's task it so supervise the lowest ranked deputies and report issues, happenings or their opinion. This is the last rank who can be in-charge of a division to manage and supervise it. Sergeants have to pass their period to become a Staff Sergeant at the end, this happens after passing several exams.

? Field staff
? Corporal — Corporals are senior members of the Field staff faction. They are allowed to place strikes on lower ranked deputies if they misbehave theirselves. At the end, Corporals should apply for the Sergeant program to become a Sergeant after passing exams.

? Deputy Sheriff II — Deputies inside this positions are promoted after showing good behavior, activity or contributions towards the faction. Deputy Sheriffs inside level II are experienced units, experienced in roleplay and tactical movements.

? Deputy Sheriff I — This position is filled with approved Deputy Sheriff Generalists. It is their duty to patrol around the state of San Andreas and not to worry about anything else. If they show good behavior, are active and make contributions, their promotion to II is near.

? Deputy Sheriff Generalist — This rank is seen as the probationary rank of the department. These deputies have to prove theirselves before getting promoted to the next position. By proving, think of behavior, activity and contributions. If they have not proven theirselves in a certain period of time, they get suspended and have to apply again.

Points of discussion:

> Training programs (ES)
> Structure, side-functions and divisions and filling them + limits/privileges (Phorpride)
> Tasks for every side-function (CS/ES)
> SEB (structure, program) (George, Andrew)
> Handbook/guide (rules, equipment, uniforms, vehicles and more) (Andrew)
> RED: Recruitment/introduction system (Phorpride)
> Promotion system (CS/ES)
> IAD: ribbons, strikes, complaints, blacklist (Ghost05)
> PAD: statistics, relations (Lyon)
